Poetry Slam
My dude Michael Granchelli reached out to me and asked if I would be down to be a guest judge for the 5th Annual Charter School Poetry Slam. I was most definitely down to participate in such a symbolic event. All i would do was write poetry in my classes when I was an adolescent, so I had to show respect and water the roots a bit. I invited my mentor Robert Pomerhn to join me as well on this endeavor, for he was my encouragement coming up as youngin. Congrats to all the students who participated, for they all were winners in my eyes! Trust. More photos HERE>

With an evolving career since 2002, Team Radio was created and founded by Chamus Hawk (a.k.a. - Chae Hawk). Around his hometown, Chae began to see his community's love for some of their sports teams. In a way, he always thought it was funny that people put so much faith in a team that always seems to let them down. Even through the rough, tough, and the ugly they stick with you: because of who you are and what you represent.
While being that of a relentless local artist, Chae also noticed that most of the community showed no support what so ever for its local music and arts. This is another strong form of entertainment that could be praised just as much. With his fans support and being the hardworking artist that he is, Chae had an idea...a premonition called Team Radio. This "network" would act as a team; a fresh and futuristic based business network that would include selectively chosen creative individuals with certain skills and passions, then would be. Just like any team, you have try outs to see who is worthy. Talented, loyal, hardworking, and most importantly creative. Then, your game is put into full effect. Chae clearly stated you really have to be hungry to win in order to play for a winning team. Today, Chae has proved he is that of a game winning coach, this coming from his leadership as well as his assertiveness in this tough business we call "music." As 'OSHINE comes to a close, Chae is now receiving the interest and involvement from the local youth as well as the world.
With the realization that his vision was forming into a living reality, it was an entity that was bigger than Chae himself. Team Radio officially launched the Label/Organization January 1st, 2010. Team Radio acts as a network comprised of younger talented artists, DJs, photographers, journalists, designers, companies, bands and much more. Most importantly, he teaches his team the fundamentals of business and life. So, when the time is right...a lot of these future business leaders will be prepared.
